The Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent, Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt and the Women’s Cricket Team, were given a rousing send-off when they were driven by a fleet of Malaysia’s National Car, PROTON, from the National Sports Council (NSC) in Bukit Jalil to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Sunday, 17th September 2023.
Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt and the Women’s Cricket team of 15 athletes and 3 team officials were flagged off by Mr. Steven Zhou Qi, the Deputy Director of Marketing and Network Support of PROTON Edar Sdn Bhd, who was accompanied by Dato’ Mohd Nazifuddin, the Secretary General of OCM, Mr. Abdul Rashid Yaakub, the Deputy Director General of NSC and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farrah Hani Imran, the Deputy Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.
A fleet of 7 PROTON cars comprising of 1 unit of X70, 2 units of X50 and 2 units of Personas and 2 units of Saga, chauffeured the Chef de Mission and the Women’s Cricket Team from the NSC to the KLIA.
Geely, the business partner and shareholder of PROTON, has been supporting the organization of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 by becoming one of the eight official prestige partners.
