Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt, Vice President of OCM and the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, has started his visit to meet up with the athletes in their final preparations for the Games on Thursday, 3rd August 2023.
For his first day visit, Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt has met up with the athletes of 2 sports namely Squash and Wushu.
The Squash Team consisting of 8 athletes (4 males and 4 females) were having their centralised training at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil while the Wushu Team of 7 athletes (4 males and 3 females) were having their training at the Gymnasium 3 of National Sports Council (NSC).
“I am pleased that our athletes of the Squash Team and the Wushu Team are in very good condition”,
“I have taken note that these athletes will be participating in several international competitions as their preparation prior to the 19th Asian Games”,
“I am optimistic that both Squash and Wushu Teams will be performing well and contributing medals for the Malaysian Contingent” stated Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt.
Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt has also been scheduled to visit all the athletes who are having their final training locally within the month of August and early September prior to his departure to Hangzhou for the 19th Asian Games.
