The 2nd Organizing Committee Meeting for the inaugural “Olympic Carnival Penang 2019 and 2019 Olympic Day Celebration” was held on Thursday, 28 February 2019, from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm, at the Nilam Meeting Room on 53rd Floor, Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak (KOMTAR).
The Meeting was chaired by Y.B. Soon Lip Chee, the Penang State Executive Council for Youth and Sports.
The OCM was represented by Dato’ Ong Poh Eng (Vice President), Dato’ Mohd Nazifuddin (Secretary General), Mr. Fong Wan Hor (General Manager) and Mr. Eddy Chew (intern).
The following Sub-Committees presented their progress reports:
- Technical & Competitions Committee
- Logistics, Transportation & Competition Venues
- Family Fun Walk Committee
- Finance Committee
The Meeting discussed on the sports events, Family Fun Walk and logistics preparation for the inaugural “Olympic Carnival Penang 2019 and 2019 Olympic Day Celebration”.
The launch of the inaugural “Olympic Carnival Penang 2019 and 2019 Olympic Day Celebration” will be officiated by the Chief Minister of Penang, Y.A.B. Chow Kon Yeow on Wednesday, 6 March 2019 at the Chief Minister’s Office, on 28th Floor, KOMTAR.
