Athlete Career Transition

This programme offers National Olympic Committees technical and financial assistance to provide educational opportunities to athletes at various stages of their career with a view to attempting to ensure a successful post-athletic career.

Types of Programmes:

  1. Individual Education Project offered to Olympians to receive training and education in a field of their choice, to obtain a qualification considered necessary to ensure a smooth post-sporting career transition. The content, duration, location, cost and evaluation methods of the education projects are determined between the beneficiaries and the NOCs in agreement with Olympic Solidarity.
  2. Athlete365 Business Accelerator: Training and education in entrepreneurship offered to Olympians to provide dual career and career transition opportunities, empowering them to become entrepreneurs.
  3. Master’s degree in Sports Ethics and Integrity: A limited number of individual scholarships offered to Olympians holding a Bachelor’s degree and English language certificate (Cambridge certificate of proficiency, IELTS score 6.5, TOEFL score 90 minimum) to complete a two-year Master’s degree in Sports Ethics and Integrity (MAiSI).

Olympians wishing to benefit from this opportunity for the above Athlete Career Transition programme should make submit their application to the Olympic Council of Malaysia (email: ) , no later than three (3) months prior to the start of the project.

The application must be accompanied by copies of the relevant requested supporting documents, according to the option’s requirements (acceptance letter, description of the chosen education course, diplomas, certificates, English language certificate, etc.).
