The Sports Commissioner of Malaysia, Dr. Wirdati Mohd Radzi, made a courtesy visit to OCM on Monday, 22 June 2020. She was accompanied by Hajah Siti Nazariah Abdul Razak, the Chief Assistant Sports Commissioner.
The main objective of their visit was to strengthen the working relationship with the OCM.
They were welcomed by the President of OCM, Dato’ Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria and a few Executive Board Members namely, Dato’ Paduka Mumtaz Jaffar, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Shamala Subramaniam, Tan Sri Mohamad Noor Abdul Rahim, Mr. Ahmad Feisal Ahmad Tajuddin, Dato’ Amarjit Singh Gill, Ms. Moira Tan Siew See and Mr. Chan Foong Keong.
The two parties discussed on many topics such as the amendments to the Sport Development Act 1997, registrations of sports bodies, arbitration process to deal with dispute cases, the development of sports industries and the educational programs for sports administrators.
The OCM will be setting up Task Force Committees with the Sports Commissioner’s Office on topics of interest from time to time to deal with issues pertaining to the development of sports in Malaysia.
“We are looking forward to renew the working relationship between the OCM and the Sports Commissioner’s Office” said Dato’ Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
