Datuk Wira Nur Azmi Ahmad, the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 31st SEA Games Vietnam 2021, hosted the post mortem meeting and appreciation to all the team officials on Saturday, 1st October 2022, at the Holiday Inn Express Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
The meeting was also attended by Dato’ Mohd Naziffuddin, Secretary General of OCM, Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Assistant Treasurer of OCM, who is also the Chef de Mission to the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia 2023.
The Team Officials, from 33 out of 37 sports, were present at the meeting and they have performed the following:
1. Evaluated their teams’ overall performance;
2. Analysed and compared their performance with the previous SEA Games;
3. Presented the difficulties faced during their teams’ preparation and
4. Provided suggestions for improvement in the future.
“I would like to thank all the team officials for their full cooperation rendered before and during the Games period to enable me to carry out my duties successfully as the Chef de Mission” stated Datuk Wira Nur Azmi Ahmad.
“I would also like to record my heartfelt appreciation to all the athletes for their performances during the 31st SEA Games, regardless of the colours of the medals contributed, also to those who did not manage to finish on podium”
“It is the actual fact that the athletes are the ones who contributed the medals. Therefore, it is fair to give the highest credit to them when the Malaysian Contingent achieved the medal target” added Datuk Wira Nur Azmi Ahmad.
The post mortem meeting ended with a hi-tea reception sponsored by Datuk Wira Nur Azmi Ahmad as his appreciation to all the team officials.
