H.E. Captain Husain Al-Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Secretary General Kuwait Olympic Committee (NOC Kuwait), who is on his schedule visit to the South East Asia Region, made a one-day working visit to Malaysia on Monday, 1st May 2023.
H.E. Captain Husain Al-Musallam, who was accompanied by Mr. Ahmad Al-Saabi, Director of the OCA Director General’s Office, was warmly welcomed by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, President of OCM and Mr. Fong Wan Hor, General Manager of OCM.
Both H.E. Captain Husain Al-Musallam and Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria had lengthy discussions on the promotion and development of the Olympic Movement in Asia and the way forward.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria also gave H.E. Captain Husain Al-Musallam a guided tour to the PETRONAS Akademi Badminton Malaysia, the proud home of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM). H.E. Captain Husain Al-Musallam was very impressed with the state of the art facilities within the Akademi and he has proposed for an Asian Badminton Youth Camp to be hosted at the Akademi in the near future.
