Committees
The OCM’s Standing Committees advise and assist the Executive Board in their respective fields of function through their discussion on issues ranging from administration, finance and medical matters to media, marketing, selection of athletes and officials to multi-sports games. The Standing Committees then submit their advice, proposals and recommendation for the consideration of the OCM Executive Board.
The OCM has the following Standing Committees: –

- Museum & Hall of Fame Committee
- Gender Equity Committee
- Building & Facilities Committee

- Medical & Anti-Doping Committee
- Legal Advisory, Rules & Discipline Committee
The Council shall appoint a Chairperson and members of Standing Committees, upon recommendation by the Executive Board. Only members of the Executive Board shall be appointed as Chairpersons of the Standing Committees. Exceptions shall be allowed for the following Committees:
- the Chairperson of the Legal Committee who shall be qualified to practice law in Malaysia; and/or
- the Chairperson of the Medical & Anti-Doping Committee who shall be qualified to practice medicine in Malaysia; and/or
- the Chairperson of the Internal Audit Committee who shall be qualified to practice internal audit in Malaysia.
The Chairperson and members of the Internal Audit Committee shall not be a member of the Executive Board and/or any other Standing Committees.
Unless stated explicitly in this Constitution, each Standing Committee shall consist of no more than six (6) members excluding the President, Secretary General and Chairperson.
An individual shall not be a member of more than two (2) Standing Committees, unless explicitly approved by the Council. An Ordinary Member shall not be represented in more than five (5) OCM Standing Committees at any one time, not including the Chairperson of the Standing Committee.
The President and Secretary General shall be members of all Standing Committees, except the Internal Audit Committee, with the right to vote. For the purpose of quorum, the President and Secretary General shall be excluded. One representative of the Senior Management shall be ex-officio members of all Committees without the right to vote.
