Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi was born on the 8th of November 1938. After his retirement in 1991, as an Engineer in the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, Dato’ Sieh chose to continue his involvement, full time, in the field of sports, where his life-long passion was, especially in the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM).
Dato’ Sieh’s involvement in sports started as an athlete where he represented hi state and later on Malaysia in the sports of Water Polo for more than a decade, both in local and international games.
From 1989 till the late 90’s, Dato’ Sieh was also attached to the National Sports Council where he acted as the advisor to the institution focussing on policies related to hosting and organisation of multi-sports games.
Throughout his service, he had also served in several key positions including as the Secretary for the Selangor Amateur Swimming Association and Swimming Union of Selangor as well as a council member and a volunteer for the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) since the 70’s.
Dato’ Sieh’s tenure as Secretary General of the OCM from 1992 to 2015 makes him one of the longest serving Secretary General. During this time, Dato’ Sieh led the Malaysian contingent as the Chef de Mission (CdM) to the 20th SEA Games in Brunei Darussalam in 1999.
With his vast experience and knowledge, from his early years in sport until today, Dato’ Sieh is still actively involved in various sports activities in the country especially competitions organized in Malaysia where his expertise is still required.
Born on 21st March 1949, Y.A.M Tunku Tan Sri Imran is the second son of the late Tuanku Jaafar, an elected monarch of the Negeri Sembilan. Tunku Imran was educated in the UK at the King’s School, Canterbury and studied law at Nottingham University before being called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn, London in 1971 and qualifying as a Barrister at Law.
