A total of 38 Young Olympic Ambassadors (22 males and 16 females) successfully completed the 27th National Olympic Academy Session coordinated by NOC Malaysia. They comprised 19 foreign ambassadors (13 males and 6 females) nominated by 12 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) across East Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia, as well as 19 local ambassadors (9 males and 10 females) nominated by 12 National Sports Associations (NSAs) affiliated with NOC Malaysia.
Throughout the programme, the Young Olympic Ambassadors were carefully mixed by gender, NOCs and NSAs into 5 different groups based on the colours of the Olympic Rings, as follows:
