The OCM is pleased to announce the appointment of two (2) Deputy Chefs de Mission for the Malaysian Contingent to the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, scheduled to be held from 19th September to 4th October 2026.
The OCM is proud to appoint Mr. Mohamad Azlan Iskandar and Ms. Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi, who will officially join and support Datoโ Mohd Sumali Reduan, Vice President of OCM, President of Malaysian Sepaktakraw Federation and Vice President of International Sepaktakraw Federation, whose appointment as the Chef de Mission for the Malaysian Contingent to the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 was announced earlier on 10th March 2026.

Mr. Mohamad Azlan Iskandar, a former national Squash player, has built an illustrious sporting legacy and demonstrated exceptional excellence while representing the Malaysian Contingent at Multi-Sport Games under the jurisdiction of the OCM. He rose to the pinnacle of regional Squash by capturing a gold medal in the Menโs Singles event and a silver medal in the Menโs Team event at the 16th Asian Games Guangzhou 2010. His outstanding track record at the Asian Games also includes two silver medals from the Men’s Singles event at the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 and the Menโs Team event at the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, as well as a bronze medal in the Menโs Singles event at the 14th Asian Games Busan 2002.
At the South East Asian Games (SEA Games) level, he established his dominance early in his career by winning a gold medal in the Menโs Team event at the 20th SEA Games Brunei Darussalam 1999, followed by two gold medals in the Menโs Singles and Menโs Team events at the 21st SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2001.

Ms. Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi is a former national Tenpin Bowling sensation who has consistently delivered outstanding performances for the nation on the international stage. She achieved remarkable success at the Asian Games by clinching a gold medal in the Womenโs Trios event and a silver medal in the Womenโs Team of 6 event at the 18th Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018.
Her achievements at the SEA Games level are equally impressive. She secured a gold medal in the Womenโs Team of 5 event, alongside two bronze medals in the Womenโs Doubles and Womenโs Trios events at the 28th SEA Games Singapore 2015. She followed this with another magnificent display on home soil, winning a gold medal in the Womenโs Team of 5 event and a silver medal in the Womenโs Trios event at the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017.
The appointment of both Mr. Mohamad Azlan Iskandar and Ms. Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi was unanimously approved by the Selection Committee of OCM, chaired by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, President of OCM, President of South East Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) and Vice President of OCA for Southeast Asia Zone. The Selection Committee comprises Mr. Jefri Ngadirin, Director General of National Sports Council; Dr. Vellapandian Ponnusamy, Chief Executive Officer of National Sports Institute; Y.A. Datuk Seri Mohd Firuz Jaffril, Court of Appeal Judge and Prof. Datoโ Dr. Md Amin Md Taff, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.
