27th National Olympic Academy Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors – Day 3

The third day of the 27th National Olympic Academy Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors commenced on Thursday, 7th May 2026, with a full day of sports activities and competitions at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, made possible through the Strategic Partnership between NOC Malaysia and the Sunway Group of Companies.

The Young Olympic Ambassadors gathered as early as 9.00 am at the lobby of Sunway Lagoon Hotel, where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Ahmad Zaki AHMAD ZUBER, Mr. Ahmad Shahir ABD AZIZ and Mr. Puganesan MURTHI from the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park Operations Team. The Operations Team subsequently escorted the Young Olympic Ambassadors to the main entrance of the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.

Mr. Muhammad Bazilin SHAMSUL and Mr. Harith Farhan Salikin ABDULLAH from the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park Sports and Recreation Team then took over the delegation, leading them to the Harbour Deck for a briefing and the official flag-off of the groups for the Sunway Challenge Team Building Exercise.

After successfully completing nine challenging missions, the Red Group emerged as winners of the Sunway Challenge Team Building Exercise.

Mr. Wan Hor FONG, Chief Executive Officer of NOC Malaysia, presented the winners from the Red Group, namely Mr. Muhammad Amirul Amin ARMAN, Mr. Muhammad Haikal ODIN, Mr. Tri Thinh HUYNG, Mr. Yen Yu CHEN, Ms. Amalia SHAHZAN, Ms. Marcella Wilson Villaceran and Ms. Sengphachanh PHACHANH, with sports shoes courtesy of Skechers, the official footwear partner of NOC Malaysia, along with pendrives sponsored by the Sunway Group of Companies.

Following a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Harbour Deck, the Young Olympic Ambassadors participated in a one-hour Wildlife Guided Tour led by Ranger Ms. Mas Arreessa Zailan MAZLAN from Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.

Upon the conclusion of the Wildlife Guided Tour, the Young Olympic Ambassadors were given free time to explore the Wet and Dry Parks, where they enjoyed the many rides and attractions available throughout the theme park.

The sports activities and competitions at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park concluded with the Young Olympic Ambassadors enjoying the “wave of fun” at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park Surf Pool before returning to the hotel.

It was a day focused on teamwork, camaraderie and physical vitality, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and the Olympic spirit among the Young Olympic Ambassadors.
