Appointment of Chef de Mission and Deputy Chefs de Mission for the Malaysian Contingent to the 33rd Sea Games Thailand 2025



The OCM is pleased to announce the appointment of the Chef de Mission and three (3) Deputy Chefs de Mission for the Malaysian Contingent to the 33rd SEA Games, which will be held from 9th to 20th December 2025 in Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla, Thailand.

The selection of the Chef de Mission and Deputy Chefs de Mission was made in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia and the National Sports Council to ensure the most capable and experienced leaders will guide the Malaysian Contingent to success.

The OCM is proud to appoint Mdm. Nurul Huda Abdullah OLY as the Chef de Mission, supported by three (3) Deputy Chefs de Mission, namely Dato’ Kenny Goh Chee Keong, Mr. Nazmizan Mohamad OLY and Mr. Jivan Mohan.

Mdm. Nurul Huda Abdullah OLY, the newly elected Vice President of OCM, is an iconic Malaysian swimmer who rose to prominence in the 1980s. She represented Malaysia at the XXIV Olympic Games Seoul 1988 and holds the record for the most medals won by a Malaysian athlete at the SEA Games, with an incredible total of 32 medals, comprising 22 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze, across three consecutive editions in 1985, 1987 and 1989. She remains the first and only Malaysian female swimmer to have won a medal at the Asian Games, with an outstanding achievement of 2 silver and 2 bronze medals at the 10th Asian Games Seoul 1986. In recognition of her remarkable contributions to Malaysian sport, she was named Malaysia’s Sportswoman of the Year for five consecutive years from 1985 to 1989, awarded the IOC Trophy themed “Women in Sport” in 1987 and was inducted into the OCM Hall of Fame in 2004.

Currently, she actively contributes to the Olympic Movement and the development of sports in Malaysia. She has been serving as the Assistant Honorary Secretary of Malaysia Aquatics since 2023, before being elected as Vice President of OCM in 2025. She previously served as Deputy Chef de Mission for the Malaysian Contingent to the 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019 and has also been serving as Chairperson of the Safe Sports Committee under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia since 2024.

Dato’ Kenny Goh Chee Keong exemplifies the successful transformation from a Physical Education teacher to a respected sports administrator in Malaysia. He has dedicated his career to the development of Badminton at all levels, from grassroots to the national stage. His outstanding administrative capabilities saw him appointed as the General Manager of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) in 2006 and later promoted to Secretary General in 2019. His contributions extend to the international arena, where he currently serves as Secretary General of Badminton Asia (BA) since 2023 and as a Council Member of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) for the term 2021-2025.

Mr. Nazmizan Muhammad OLY, a former Malaysian sprinter, etched his name in Malaysian Athletics history by winning gold medals in the Men’s 100m and 200m events at the 22nd SEA Games Vietnam 2003. He also qualified for and competed in the Men’s 200m event at the XXVIII Olympic Games Athens 2004. He currently continues to contribute to Malaysian sports through his role as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Communication, Universiti Malaysia Perlis.

Mr. Jivan Mohan, a former Malaysian Hockey player, has represented Malaysia in numerous prestigious international Hockey tournaments, including the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, Asian Cup and Junior World Cup, as well as various Multi-Sport Games under the jurisdiction of OCM. He was a member of the National Hockey Team that secured a bronze medal at the XVIII Commonwealth Games Melbourne 2006 and achieved a fifth-place finish at the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006. He also contributed to Malaysian Contingent’s back-to-back gold medal victories at the 27th SEA Games Myanmar 2013 and the 28th SEA Games Singapore 2015. He is currently holds the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Royal Malaysia Police.

The OCM is confident that this team of highly respected and accomplished leaders, with their wealth of experience as athletes and sports administrators, will inspire and motivate the Malaysian Contingent to excel, uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and bring pride to Malaysia at the upcoming 33rd SEA Games Thailand 2025.
