The OCM is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Farah Ann ABDUL HADI OLY as the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which will be held from 22nd to 31st October 2025 in Manama, Bahrain.
This appointment, made in collaboration with the National Sports Council (NSC), reflects a shared commitment to entrusting the Malaysian Contingent with a young and dynamic sports leader, whose extensive international experience and outstanding achievements are expected to inspire and motivate our nation’s youth athletes.
The journey of Farah Ann in Gymnastics has been one of passion, resilience and excellence. From her early beginnings as a young gymnast, she rose to become one of Malaysia’s most celebrated athletes. Her unwavering determination, perseverance and fighting spirit have served as a beacon of inspiration to the younger generation.
At the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Farah Ann made her mark with distinction, winning a total of 12 medals, 7 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze, across 4 editions in 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2019. Her most remarkable moment came at the 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019, where she clinched 3 gold medals in the All-Around, Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise events. In recognition of her extraordinary achievements, she was honoured with the Coca-Cola OCM Olympian of the Year Award in 2019.
Farah Ann also represented Malaysia with pride at the Commonwealth Games in 2010, 2014, and 2018, as well as the Asian Games in 2014 and 2018. Her illustrious career reached its pinnacle when she qualified for the XXXII Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, making her only the fourth Malaysian gymnast in history to compete on the Olympic stage.
With her proven leadership, inspirational career and dedication to excellence, the OCM is confident that Ms. Farah Ann ABDUL HADI OLY will serve as a role model for the Malaysian athletes at the 3rd Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025, inspiring and motivating them to give their very best and to achieve success for the nation.
