OCM Appoints Skechers as Official Footwear Partner for Olympic Quadrennial 2025-2028

The OCM has announced a landmark partnership, appointing Skechers as the Official Footwear Partner for the Malaysian Contingent to all major Multi-Sport Games under its jurisdiction throughout the Olympic Quadrennial 2025-2028.

The momentous partnership was launched at the Skechers Flagship Store in The Exchange TRX on Wednesday, 19th November 2025.

The event was graced by Y.B. Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports; Datuk Wira Dr. Nur Azmi Ahmad, Deputy President of OCM and Chairperson of OCM Marketing and Sponsorship Committee; Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Secretary General of OCM; Ms. Zann Lee, Managing Director of Skechers Southeast Asia; Dr. Vallapandian Ponnusamy, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Institute; Mdm. Puah Pei Ling, Deputy Director General (Management) of the National Sports Council; Mdm. Nurul Huda Abdullah OLY, Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 33rd SEA Games Thailand 2025; DSP Jivan Mohan, Deputy Chef de Mission; members of the OCM Executive Board; and several top national athletes.

Besides Datuk Wira Dr. Nur Azmi Ahmad, Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali and Mdm. Nurul Huda Abdullah OLY, the other OCM Executive Board Members present were Datuk Mohamad Iruan Zulkefli, Vice President of OCM; Mahaguru Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt, Vice President of OCM; Dato’ Ahmad Feisal Ahmad Tajuddin, Treasurer of OCM and Ms. Moira Tan Siew See, Assistant Secretary General of OCM.

The top national athletes present to support the occasion included Olympians, World Champions, Asian Champions and gold medallists at both the SEA Games and Asian Games, namely Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri OLY (Cycling), Muhammad Shahrul Aimy Kamaru Hisam (Gymnastics), Rachel Yeoh Li Wen (Gymnastics), Shahmalarani Chandran (Karate), Thevendran Kaliana Sundram (Karate), Noor Ainaa Amani Ampandi (Squash), Sehveetrraa Kumar (Squash), Muhammad Rafiq Ismail (Tenpin Bowling), Natasha Mohamed Roslan (Tenpin Bowling) and Sin Li Jane (Tenpin Bowling).

In his address, Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali highlighted the significance of the collaboration.

“Today’s event not only marks the sponsorship of the Malaysian Contingent to the 33rd SEA Games but also celebrates a significant milestone in our partnership. This long-term collaboration reflects our shared commitment to uplift Malaysian sports and to consistently support our athletes across multiple international stages”.

This comprehensive partnership will cover seven major Multi-Sport Games as follows:

“We view this as a true win-win partnership. As our athletes take to the world stage at these prestigious Multi-Sport Games, they will also be showcasing the Skechers brand to a global audience” Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali added.

For the upcoming 33rd SEA Games Thailand 2025, scheduled to be held from 9th to 20th December 2025, Skechers will equip the Malaysian Contingent with 2,000 pairs of footwear. This includes Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as footwear from the Max Cushioning and GOrun Elevate collections for off-field activities, ensuring comfort and stability for both athletes and officials.
