The Sponsorship Presentation from the Bata Primavera Sdn Bhd to the OCM for the 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019, was held on Wednesday, 20 November 2019, at the OCM Sports Museum & Hall of Fame.
The Bata Primavera Sdn Bhd was represented by Mr. Ajay Ramachandran (Country Manager) and Dato’ James Selvaraj (Corporate Business Development Manager), while the OCM was represented by Dato’ Seri Azim Zabidi (Deputy President) and Dato’ Paduka Mumtaz Jaffar (Vice President).
Dato’ Seri Azim Zabidi, in his speech, mentioned that the Contingent size to the 30th SEA Games is 1,114 persons comprising of 774 athletes (448 males and 326 females) and 340 officials (275 males and 65 females). He then thanked the Bata Primavera Sdn Bhd for their long-term partnership with the OCM since 2001.
He further informed that for the coming 30th SEA Games, Bata Primavera Sdn Bhd would provide one (1) pair of the newly designed Power sports shoes to each member of the Malaysian Contingent, which is in line with the concept of the ‘Malaysian Heroes’.
Mr. Ajay Ramachandran, in his speech, informed that the Power sports shoes had come with a new design and colour. They are made of a phylon midsole with mesh breathable uppers. The memory foam cushioning the shoes, adds comfort and good fit.
Those who were present to witness the sponsorship presentation were 2 other members of the OCM Executive Board namely Ms. Moira Tan Siew See and Mr. Chan Foong Keong and 6 athletes of the Malaysian Contingent namely Mr. Ilham Wahab (Sailing), Mr. Tan Fu Jie (Artistic Gymnastic), Mr. Mohd Taqiyuddin Hamid (Silat), Mr. Lee Hup Wei (Athletics), Ms. Khairunnisa Nazri (Netball) and Ms. Rachael Arnold (Squash).
