The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 closing ceremony was held on the 8th October 2023 in the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.
The Malaysian Contingent, comprising 40 individuals (17 officials and 23 athletes), was led by the Chef de Mission, Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt alongside his two deputies – Datuk Mohamad Iruan Zulkefli and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farrah Hani Imran – plus the Secretariat Team, with the Kabbadi team, the Karate team and the Jujitsu athlete joining the closing parade.
In conclusion, Malaysian Contingent finished in 14th place with 6 gold, 8 silver and 18 bronze, surpassing the target of winning 27 medals.
The OCM extends its heartiest congratulations to all the athletes who participated in this edition of the Asian Games.
