Aruwin Among The Tops Asian Skiers in the Alpine Skiing Women’s Slalom Event



The Alpine Skiing Womenโ€™s Slalom event at the XXV Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 was held on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, from 10.00 am to 3.30 pm, at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre, in Cortina dโ€™Ampezzo, Italy.

A total of 95 athletes from 57 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) worldwide qualified to compete in the event, including Ms. Aruwin SALEHUDDIN OLY, aged 22, the first Malaysian female athlete to qualify for the Olympic Winter Games, who made her second consecutive appearance at the XXV Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Ms. Aruwin SALEHUDDIN OLY completed the race with a time of 1:54.82, finishing 44th out of the 53 skiers who successfully completed both Run 1 and Run 2 of the event.

โ€œWe are extremely proud of her, as she emerged as the top finisher among the five Asian skiers who completed the race, including Piera HUDSON OLY(United Arab Emirates), who ranked 39th, Tallulah PROULX OLY (Philippines), who ranked 50th, Wen-Yi LEE OLY (Chinese Taipei), who ranked 52nd and Sadaf SAVEHSHEMSHAKI OLY (Islamic Republic of Iran), who ranked 53rdโ€ stated Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, President of NOC Malaysia, President of SEAGF and Vice President of OCA for Southeast Asia Zone.
