The 26th National Olympic Academy (NOA) Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors is currently being coordinated by the OCM and NOA Malaysia from 23 to 27 April 2024 at OCM Indoor Sports Complex, Kuala Lumpur.
On Wednesday, 24 April 2024, the NOA Session commenced with an inspiring Opening Ceremony officiated by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohammad Norza Zakaria, President of OCM. In his heartfelt speech, he warmly welcomed all the participants to the session designed to promote Olympic Values among the youth.
“I extend a warm welcome to all the participants and encourage them to carry and embrace the true spirit of Olympism into the world as the young ambassadors of the Olympic Movement.”
“Seize this opportunity with enthusiasm and determination in your capacity as Olympic Ambassadors. Be the purveyors of peace, unity and solidarity” said Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohammad Norza Zakaria.
This NOA Session holds the distinction of being one of the longest NOA running events around the world. This year, there are 40 participants, comprising 20 local participants and 20 international participants. The international participants include representatives from the NOCs namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lao, Myanmar, Philipines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The theme for the 26th NOA Session is “The Athlete and Olympian in Modern Society: Inspiring and Fostering Unity”. Throughout the session, a total of 6 lectures and various activities will be conducted to enrich the participants’ experience.
The NOA Session is being coordinated by Mr. Nicholas Chan Yee Soon as the advisor and the Director of the National Olympic Academy. He will be supported by a team of moderators namely, Mr. Senathiraj Thevaratnam (Chief Moderator), Ms. Kok Jen Dee, Ms. Zaifilla Farrina Zainuddin, Ms. Tan Wei Wei, H.H.
