Advanced Sport Management Course (16th Edition) – Graduation Ceremony



The OCM honoured the 18 participants who had successfully completed the Advanced Sport Management Course (ASMC) at a simple yet prestigious Graduation Ceremony at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 11th March 2023.

The Graduation Ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt, the Vice President of the OCM, who is also the President of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia (WFM) and the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.

Ms. Moira Tan Siew See, the Assistant Secretary General of the OCM, who is also the Chairperson of the OCM Education and Training Committee, in her opening remarks said “We are very thankful to the Olympic Solidarity for its continuous support and funding since the inception of the ASMC in 2008 and we have successfully organized the ASMC for 16 years without fail.”

“For that we must always uphold the OLYMPIC MOVEMENT and practise the OLYMPIC VALUES of EXCELLENCE, RESPECT and FRIENDSHIP” added Ms. Moira Tan Siew See.

“On behalf of our beloved President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohamad Norza Zakaria, I would like to congratulate each and every one of you for your successful completion of the Course” stated Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt in his official speech. He further urged the graduates never to give up reading and learning because education is a never-ending process!

Mr. DM Karunamurthy Muniandy was given the honour to represent the graduates in delivering a short speech before the presentation of the Diploma.

The highlight of the Graduation Ceremony was the presentation of the Diploma in Management of Olympic Sport Organisations, issued by the Olympic Solidarity. The Diplomas were presented by Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt to the graduates of the year 2022 as follows:

Three (3) successful graduates were unable to be present at the ceremony namely Mr. Eric Quek Kai Meng, Mr. Jee Jeet Yuan and Mdm. Liew May San.
