The President of OCM, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, arrived in Phnom Penh on Thursday, 4 May 2023.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria who was accompanied by 2 Vice Presidents of the OCM, namely Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt and Datuk Wira Nur Azmi Ahmad, was warmly welcomed by Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia 2023 at the Phnom Penh International Airport.
Upon his arrival in Phnom Penh, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria attended the SEAGF Council Meeting, which was held from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm at the Garden City Hotel. Two other delegates from the OCM who had also attended the SEAGF Council Meeting were Dato’ Paduka Mumtaz Jaffar (Vice President) and Dato’ Mohd Nazifuddin (Secretary General).
“The SEAGF Council Meeting in Phnom Penh this time is extraordinary as it is graced by the IOC Vice President, H.E. Mr. Ng Ser Miang and the Director General of the OCA, H.E. Captain Husain Al-Musallam”,
“The presence of the high-profile personnel from the IOC and the OCA has certainly added remarkable values to the Olympic Movement in the South East Asia region”,
“I strongly believe that the unity among all the SEAGF Member NOCs in support of good leadership will maintain the solidarity of the Olympic Movement in Asia” added Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
The Cambodia SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) hosted a Gala Dinner for all the delegates of the SEAGF in the evening at the Garden City Hotel.
