Dr. Norza ZAKARIA paid a courtesy call to Mr. Nasser Ayman MAJALI, Secretary General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), on Sunday, 9th February 2025, at 11.00 am, at the Shangri-La Harbin, located in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China.
During their meeting, Dr. Norza ZAKARIA and Mr. Nasser Ayman MAJALI engaged in in-depth discussions on the reform initiatives and strategic plans aimed at enhancing the development and promotion of sports within the Muslim world.
“As one of the esteemed member NOCs of ISSA, the NOC Malaysia is committed to taking on a more proactive role in supporting the Islamic Sports Movement under the ISSA leadership” stated Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, President of NOC Malaysia.
He further expressed his confidence in the ongoing transformation of ISSA, remarking, “I firmly believe that under the visionary leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, coupled with the capable administration of Mr. Nasser Ayman MAJALI, the ISSA will successfully establish a people-centric Islamic Sports Movement that benefits all its member NOCs.”
Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, who also serves as the Vice President of the OCA for the Southeast Asia Zone, reaffirmed the commitment of NOC Malaysia to supporting the initiatives of the ISSA and promoting greater solidarity through sports within the Muslim community.
