The NOC Malaysia will convene its 44th Annual General Assembly on Saturday, 19th April 2025, in Sarawak Room, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. During the said General Assembly, election of office bearers of NOC Malaysia for the term 2025-2029 will take place.
The Official Nomination Form, Official Acceptance Form and Official Registration Form were issued on Friday, 28th March 2025, by an Independent Panel comprising the following three (3) members appointed to supervise, manage and conduct the election process:
1. Honorable Justice Datuk Seri Mohd Firuz Jaffril – Court of Appeal Judge
2. Honorable Justice Dato’ Anand Ponnudurai – High Court Judge
3. Datuk Harjit Singh Sidhu – License Tax Agent with the Ministry of Finance
By the closing date of nomination on Wednesday, 9th April 2025, Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, the incumbent, is the sole candidate nominated for the position of President of NOC Malaysia. His nomination was fully supported by 14 out of 34 National Federations affiliated with NOC Malaysia, namely Archery, Athletics, Body Building, Equestrian, Golf, Gymnastics, Judo, Lawn Tennis, Netball, Rugby, Sailing, Silat, Tenpin Bowling and Volleyball.
As stipulated in Article 14 of the Constitution of NOC Malaysia, each National Federation with Ordinary Member status shall nominate only one (1) candidate to stand for one (1) position in the election. The 14 nominations received by Dr. Norza ZAKARIA represents 41.2% of the total support from the 34 National Federation with Ordinary Member status.
Being the sole candidate, Dr. Norza ZAKARIA will be elected unopposed for the position of President of NOC Malaysia for the term 2025-2029 during the 44th Annual General Assembly of NOC Malaysia on Saturday, 19th April 2025.

“With their continued support, I remain fully committed to leading the Olympic Movement in Malaysia, upholding the Olympic Values under the auspices of the IOC” stated Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, who also serves as OCA Vice President for Southeast Asia Zone.
Dr. Norza ZAKARIA has been actively involved in the Olympic Movement within the NOC Malaysia for the past decade, beginning in 2015. He was first elected as Deputy President in the same year and went on to serve as Chef de Mission for the Malaysian Contingent to the 28th SEA Games in Singapore, where the Malaysian Contingent achieved its best-ever performance in any SEA Games held outside of Malaysia, securing a total of 186 medals, 62 gold, 58 silver and 66 bronze. His unwavering dedication and leadership ultimately led to his election as President of NOC Malaysia in 2018.
