NOC Malaysia successfully held its 44th Annual General Assembly and the election of office bearers for the term 2025-2029 on Saturday, 19th April 2025, at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.
The election process was professionally supervised, managed and conducted by an Independent Panel chaired by the Honourable Justice Mohd Firuz JAFFRIL, Judge of the Court of Appeal Malaysia. The other members of the Independent Panel were the Honourable Justice Anand PONNUDURAI, Judge of the High Court Malaysia and Mr. Harjit Singh SIDHU, a licensed tax agent registered with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.
Dr. Norza Zakaria, who was nominated as the sole candidate with a record-high 14 nominations out of 34 National Federations, was re-elected unopposed as President of NOC Malaysia for a third consecutive term. He was first elected as Deputy President for the term 2015-2018, before being elected unopposed as President for the 2018-2021 and 2021-2025 terms.
Mr. Nur Azmi AHMAD, President of the Karate Federation of Malaysia and Vice President in the previous term, was elected as the new Deputy President.
Five (5) prominent sports leaders from various National Federations were elected as Vice Presidents. They are Hon. Azizul Annuar ADENAN, President of the Taekwondo Malaysia (WT), Mr. Mohd Sumali REDUAN, President of the Sepaktakraw Association of Malaysia, Mr. Mohamad Iruan ZULKEFLI, President of the Malaysia Boxing Federation, Mdm. Nurul Huda ABDULLAH, Assistant Secretary General of the Malaysia Aquatics and Dr. Kim Fatt CHONG, President of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia, who also served as a Vice President in the previous term.
Mr. Mohd Nasir ALI, Deputy President of the Malaysian Weightlifting Federation and Assistant Treasurer in the previous term, was elected unopposed as the new Secretary General.
Mr. Ahmad Feisal AHMAD TAJUDDIN, Acting President of the Malaysian Cricket Association, was re-elected as Treasurer.
Ms. Moira Siew See TAN, former Secretary of the Malaysian Fencing Federation, was re-elected unopposed as Assistant Secretary General (Female), while Mr. Ahmad Arif ASTAMAN, Secretary General of the Malaysian National Cycling Federation, was elected as the new Assistant Secretary General (Male).
Mr. Subramaniam VERUTHASALAM, Acting President of the Badminton Association of Malaysia, was elected unopposed as Assistant Treasurer.
