The Malaysian Fencing Federation (MFF) has successfully organised its National Youth Championship 2022, from 15th to 19th September 2022, at the Tan Sri Hamzah Arena, OCM Indoor Sports Complex, Kuala Lumpur.
The National Youth Championship, held concurrently with the 20th Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) 2022, was supported by the participation of 141 young fencers, between the age of 12 to 20, from 11 states namely Johor, Kedah, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Perlis, Pulau Pinang, Sarawak, Selangor, Terengganu and Wilayah Persekutuan.
Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Assistant Treasurer of the OCM and Chef de Mission of Malaysian Contingent to the 32nd SEA Games Cambodia 2023, was present to support the Championship on Monday, 19th September 2022. He was also given the privilege to present the medals to winners of the Men’s Foil Team event.
“On behalf of OCM, we would like to congratulate the President of MFF, Madam Rusni Abu Hassan, for having successfully organised the National Youth Championship despite of facing a number of challenges” stated Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali after the medal presentation ceremony.
“I am glad that the OCM has played a significant role to support the organization of this Championship. Our support should continue as Fencing is an Olympic Sport” added Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali.
