Sport Administrators Course No. 2 2023 (Closing)

The Sport Administrators Course No. 2 (2023) in collaboration with the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of the Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) concluded successfully on Sunday, 28th May 2023.

The Closing Ceremony and Presentation of Certificates were officiated by Ms. Moira Tan Siew See, Assistant Secretary General of OCM, who is also the Chairperson of the OCM Education and Training Committee.

In her closing speech, Ms. Moira Tan thanked the following entities and individuals for their contributions towards the successful organization of the Sport Administrators Course No. 2 (2023):

1. The Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of the UPSI for having coordinated the participation of 34 fourth-final years students as well as providing the logistics.

2. The National Course Directors (NCDs) namely Ms. Kalaivalli R. Ratnam and Mr. Fong Wan Hor for conducting the Course.

3. The Team of Facilitators namely Mr. Ahmad Arif Astaman, Mr. Ahmad Badrulhisam Che Kassim, Mr. Chong Choong Seong, Mr. Lim Cheng Kian, Mr. Ronizam Ismail and the 2 invited speakers namely Ms. Ang Li Peng and Hajah Wan Norafzan Wan Mahadi for their support and contribution in sharing their expertise.

4. The 34 fourth-final year students majoring in Physical Education for their active participation.

“The training in the SAC will bring you to the next level of being good sport leaders and administrators when you go into the school system in the near future”,

“The use of the Sport Administration Manual will equip you with knowledge to be better Physical Education teachers who will love to work with school children and athletes for the development of sports as well as for the building up of students with good ethical and moral values to be proud Malaysians”,

“Go out now and practice the Olympic values of 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘, 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧 and 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 in your daily activities with family and friends and in playing your sports”,

“We must also thank the President of OCM, Tan Sri Dr. Norza Zakaria for his encouragement to bring the SAC to the UPSI as he believes strongly that education and training in sport is an on-going process for the success of a sporting nation” stated Ms. Moira Tan.

Ms. Moira Tan Siew See presented the certificates of the Sport Administrators Course issued by the Olympic Solidarity to all the 34 students who had successfully completed the Course.
