The OCM in collaboration with the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of the Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) is coordinating the second session of the Sport Administrators Course (SAC) for the fourth and final year students who are majoring in Physical Education, from 26th to 28th May 2023, at the Sultan Azlan Shah Campus of the UPSI.
The Course is being conducted by 2 accredited National Course Directors (NCDs) namely Ms. Kalaivalli R. Ratnam and Mr. Fong Wan Hor for 35 students (21 males 60% and 14 females 40%). They are being assisted by a team of facilitators namely Mr. Ahmad Arif Astaman, Mr. Ahmad Badrulhisam Che Kassim, Mr. Chong Choong Seong, Mr. Lim Cheng Kian, Mr. Ronizam Ismail and 2 invited speakers, Ms. Ang Li Peng and Hajah Wan Norafzan Wan Mahadi.
The Course started with a briefing by Ms. Moira Tan Siew See, the Assistant Secretary General of OCM, who is also the Chairperson of the OCM Education and Training Committee.
“On behalf of our President, Tan Sri Dr. Norza Zakaria, who is an alumni of UPSI, we are glad to conduct the first ever Sport Administrators Course in collaboration with the UPSI” stated Ms. Moira Tan in her briefing.
The Opening Ceremony of the Course was officiated by Dr. Ali Md Nadzalan, the Deputy Dean (Research & Innovation) of the Faculty of Sports Science and Coaching of the UPSI.
“Physical Education Teachers should also be equipped with the knowledge of sport management and administration“,
“Therefore, the participation in the Sport Administrators Course by OCM will be an added value to your training as Physical Education teachers”,

Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi was born on the 8th of November 1938. After his retirement in 1991, as an Engineer in the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, Dato’ Sieh chose to continue his involvement, full time, in the field of sports, where his life-long passion was, especially in the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM).
Born on 21st March 1949, Y.A.M Tunku Tan Sri Imran is the second son of the late Tuanku Jaafar, an elected monarch of the Negeri Sembilan. Tunku Imran was educated in the UK at the King’s School, Canterbury and studied law at Nottingham University before being called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn, London in 1971 and qualifying as a Barrister at Law.
