Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt, Vice President of OCM and Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, visited two gymnasts in their final preparations for the Games on Thursday, 7th September 2023.
In the first visit, Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt met Ng Joe Ee of Gymnastics-Rhythmic at Gymnasium 1, National Sports Council (NSC) followed by the meeting with Muhammad Sharul Aimy of Gymnastics-Artistic at Gymnasium 3, NSC.
Both of them are the sole representatives of their disciplines and will be making their debut in the Asian Games. Ng Joe Ee, who is the National Sportswoman of 2022, will be participating in Women’s Individual All-Around event, while Sharul Aimy, coached by Ng Shu Liang, will be competing in the Men’s Vault event.
“I reminded both of them to do their best and set their minds on going for Gold”,
“This is also a reminder for all athletes of the Malaysian Contingent that the Asian Games is not a trial session, they must participate in a mission to win the gold medal” stated Dato’ Chong Kim Fatt.
