19th Asian Games Torch Relay

The 19th Asian Games Torch Relay, inaugurated at the Yongjin Park Square near the iconic West Lake in Hangzhou on Friday, 8th September 2023, embarked on an exhalating journey through 11 cities in the Zhejiang province. These cities, including Huzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Taizhou, Wenzhou, Lishui, Jinhua and Quzhou, witnessed the symbolic journey of the Torch Relay before it returned to Hangzhou for the final leg on Wednesday, 20th September 2023.

The design of the Torch for these 19th Asian Games draws its inspiration from the venerable Liangzhu Culture, an ancient civilization with a history spanning over 5,000 years. This choice of design serves as a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of Chinese culture, symbolizing its timeless passage from one generation to the next.

What makes the final leg of the 19th Asian Games Torch Relay truly remarkable is the full participation of the OCA Family as well as the 45 Member NOCs of the OCA.
