The OCM expresses its heartiest congratulations to Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt, Vice President of the OCM, President of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia as well as the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, for being bestowed with the Honorary Doctorate in Traditional Wushu Sport by the Institute of Ethnic Sports Culture of Hunan Normal University.
This Honorary Doctorate in Traditional Wushu Sport serves as an acknowledgment from the Hunan Normal University for the significant contributions made by Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt in promoting Wushu as a treasured facet of the Chinese cultural heritage in Malaysia over the past 4 decades.
The Senate of the Hunan Normal University officially approved the conferment of this esteemed Honorary Doctorate on Thursday, 25th May 2023.
Since Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt diligently carries out his responsibilities as the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Prof. Dr. Zhang Jisheng, the Dean of the Institute of Ethnic Sports Culture of Hunan Normal University, made a special trip from Hunan to the Athletes Village to personally bestow the Honorary Doctorate to Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt on Thursday, 21st September 2023.

Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi was born on the 8th of November 1938. After his retirement in 1991, as an Engineer in the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, Dato’ Sieh chose to continue his involvement, full time, in the field of sports, where his life-long passion was, especially in the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM).
Born on 21st March 1949, Y.A.M Tunku Tan Sri Imran is the second son of the late Tuanku Jaafar, an elected monarch of the Negeri Sembilan. Tunku Imran was educated in the UK at the King’s School, Canterbury and studied law at Nottingham University before being called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn, London in 1971 and qualifying as a Barrister at Law.
