93rd OCA Executive Board Meeting



The 93rd OCA Executive Board Meeting was successfully held on Thursday, 6th February 2025, at the Shangri-La Harbin in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China.

The Meeting was chaired by the Honorable Timothy FOK Tsun-Ting, Senior Vice President of the OCA. Mdm. ZHANG Haihua, Vice Mayor of Harbin, had the honour of delivering the welcome address on behalf of the Harbin Municipal People’s Government.

Present in the Meeting were Dr. Norza ZAKARIA (Vice President of OCA for Southeast Asia), HRH Prince Jigyel Ugyen WANGCHUCK (Vice President of OCA for South Asia), Mr. Otabek UMAROV (Vice President of OCA for Central Asia), Dr Thani Abdulrahman AL KUWARI (Vice President of OCA for West Asia), Mr. Tsunekazu TAKEDA (Vice President of Future Games), Mr. SONG Luzeng (Vice President of Future Games and Chair of OCA Sports Committee), Mrs. Mikako KOTANI (Executive Board Member for East Asia), Prof. Dr. Supitr SAMAHITO (Executive Board Member for Southeast Asia), Mr. Shiva KESHAVAN (Vice Chair of OCA Athlete Committee), Dr. Kevin Kuo-I CHEN (Chair of OCA Finance Committee), Ms. Valerierose M.K. TARAZI (Chair of OCA Gender Equity Committee), Mr. Abraham N. TOLENTINO (Chair of OCA Legal Committee), Captain Dr. Husain AL-MUSALLAM (Director General of OCA) and Mr. Vinod Kumar TIWARI (Deputy Director General of OCA).

During the Meeting, the OCA Executive Board reviewed and approved the following matters:

1. Progress Report of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
2. Logo of the 10th Asian Winter Games Neom 2029.
3. 45th OCA General Assembly, scheduled to be held on 11th and 12th May 2025 in Kuwait, at the Headquarters of the OCA.
4. Special considerations for participation in the 9th Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025:

Mr. Chencho DORJI (Bhutan): due to an issue with his FIS License, he will be allowed to compete in the Alpine Skiing Men’s Slalom event under the condition that he will not be eligible for a medal or FIS points.

Freestyle Ski Women’s Aerial Synchro: The event will proceed with 6 athletes from 2 NOCs: China and Kazakhstan, following the withdrawal of 2 athletes from NOC Japan.

Freestyle Ski Women’s Halfpipe: The event will proceed with 6 athletes from 2 NOCs: China and Korea, following the withdrawal of 1 athlete from NOC Philippines.
