Dr. Norza Zakaria Graces the Prime Minister Cup to Show his Support for Equestrian Sports



Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, President of NOC Malaysia and Vice President of OCA, was present on the final day of the 3-day Prime Minister Cup CSI1* Equestrian Competition, which was jointly organised by the Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM) and Kuala Lumpur Polo Club (KLPC), from 25th to 27th July 2025, at the KLPC.

One of the key highlights on Sunday, 27th July 2025, was Class SJ27 event (CSI1* 130cm, Article: 273.3.3.2 / 273.4.3), which was designated by EAM as one of the qualifying rounds for the national team selection ahead of the upcoming 33rd SEA Games Thailand 2025.

Dr. Norza ZAKARIA had the honour of presenting the prizes to the top performers of Class SJ27 event, as follows:

1. First Prize – Haris KAMALUDDIN, riding Replay, representing Club 3QE
2. Second Prize – Norinne DEWAL, riding Pavalina, representing Club 3QE
3. Third Prize – Nabil ISMAIL, riding Empreinte Du Banney, representing Club LHEC
4. Fourth Prize – Amirul RAZAK, riding Laheera, representing Club MEM

“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Equestrian Association of Malaysia, particularly its President, Syed Omar and Honorary Secretary, Major Dato’ Yap Mou Soon, for their unwavering dedication and hard work in preparing our athletes and horses for the SEA Games” said Dr. Norza ZAKARIA.

“I also wish to commend the corporate sector, especially Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur and Lexus Malaysia, for stepping forward in support of sports development through their meaningful corporate social responsibility initiatives” he added.

The presence of Dr. Norza ZAKARIA at the Prime Minister Cup CSI1* Equestrian Competition underscored his strong commitment to the development of Equestrian sports, driven by his belief in their potential to elevate Malaysia’s sporting achievements at both the regional and continental levels.
