Dr. Norza ZAKARIA, President of NOC Malaysia and Vice President of OCA, graced the final day of the International Air Games 2025, a 3-day event which was jointly organised by the Malaysia Sports Aviation Federation (MSAF) and the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), from 25th to 27th July 2025, across multiple venues, Padang Timur and Dewan Sivik in Petaling Jaya as well as Windlab Indoor Skydiving in One Utama.
The International Air Games 2025 showcased 9 exciting disciplines, including Drone Racing, Drone Soccer, Indoor Skydiving, Aeromodelling, Stem Programme, Airsports Simulator, Kids Airsports, Airsports Exhibition and Airports Colouring. The event successfully attracted over 600 participants from 8 countries, including Bangladesh, Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Thailand, reflecting the increasing regional interest and participation in Air Sports.
Dr. Norza ZAKARIA had the opportunity to witness the thrilling final rounds of Drone Racing at Padang Timur and Drone Soccer at Dewan Sivik, where he engaged with athletes, technical officials and organisers.
“I would like to congratulate the Malaysia Sports Aviation Federation, particularly its President, Mohd Nurhaqimy, for their tireless efforts in promoting Air Sports at both the local and international stages” stated Dr. Norza Zakaria.
“Events like the International Air Games play an important role in introducing these innovative and dynamic disciplines to a wider audience, especially among youth with a strong interest in innovation, science and technology” he added.
