The OCM extends its heartiest congratulations to Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt, Vice President of the OCM, President of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia (WFM) as well as Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, for being elected unopposed as one of the four Vice Presidents of the Wushu Federation of Asia (WFA) for the term of 2023-2026.
The election of the WFA took place during the 53rd WFA Executive Committee Meeting held on Saturday, 23rd September 2023, at the Hangzhou Xiaoshan Hangmin Hotel.
With this election, Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt becomes the third Malaysian to have been elected to the Executive Board of the WFA, following in footsteps of Tun Dr. Lim Keng Yaik and Dato’ Seri Kee Yong Wee, who previously served as the Presidents of WFM.
Prior to this election, Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt held the position of the Executive Board Member of the WFA from 2018 to 2022.
“The contributions made by Dato’ Dr. Chong Kim Fatt in advancing the development of Wushu in Malaysia and within the Southeast Asian region, as well as his impact on the wider Asian continent, are widely recognised”,
