The Malaysian Contingent, led by Mahaguru Dato’ (Dr.) Chong Kim Fatt, Vice President of OCM and Chef de Mission, proudly participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026, held on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, at 8.00 pm at the iconic Yasha Park in Sanya, China.
The delegation of 33 members from the Malaysian Contingent marched into Yasha Park, comprising athletes and team officials representing 4 sports namely Aquathlon, Beach Volleyball, Sailing, and Teqball.
The flag bearers for the Malaysian Contingent were Mr. Isaac Tan Zhen Wei from Aquathlon and Ms. Lydia Hannah Jasmine Lukman from Sailing.
Despite being a modest-sized delegation, the Malaysian Contingent displayed strong spirit, unity and pride as they took part in the vibrant and colorful Opening Ceremony, donning their trademark 🐯 tiger-striped sports attire, proudly sponsored by Sunrise Sports Sdn Bhd and Yonex.
The OCM extends its best wishes to all members of the Malaysian Contingent for success in their respective competitions, scheduled to take place from 23rd to 30th April 2026 across Sanya City in Hainan Province, China.
May the athletes deliver outstanding performances and uphold the Olympic Values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship throughout the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026.
