The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Organising Committee of the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2021 have cordially invited the Malaysian Contingent under the Olympic Council of Malaysia to take part in the competition next year.
The competition has been postponed since 2021. Initially set for January of that year, it was pushed to 21-30 May 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Following that, it faced yet another shift to 17-26 November 2023, only to be further delayed to 24 January-6 February 2024.
The event saw another postponement, with a new official announcement by OCA on (date) and the games are set to be held on 21-30 November 2024 at Bangkok-Chonburi, Thailand.
“We are pleased with this invitation. In addition to preparing for the Olympics Paris 2024, we will also prepare for the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to send our best athletes there. The games are also beneficial for the SEA Games 2025,” stated Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
