The Executive Board and Management of OCM wish to express their deepest condolences to the family of the late Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dr. Khoo Kay Kim, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 28 May 2019, at the age of 82.
Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dr. Khoo Kay Kim was a prominent academician and renowned historian with great passion in sports. He has contributed many of his views towards many issues on national unity and sports. He was largely instrumental the Sports Science Undergraduate Programme for the University of Malaya in 1995.
He was a member of the Technical and Development Committee of the Football Association of Malaysia (1985-1995) and a member of the Coaching Committee of the Malaysia Amateur Athletics Union (1996-1998).
During the 3rd SEAP Games Kuala Lumpur 1965, he was one of the Technical Officials for the sport of Athletics.
When Malaysia hosted the XVI Commonwealth Games in 1998, he was appointed as a member of the Finance Committee for SUKOM98 Berhad.
The demise of Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dr. Khoo Kay Kim is a great loss to Malaysia. May his soul Rest In Peace.
