The CGA Malaysia extends its heartiest congratulations to the Malaysian Contingent of 24 members for their achievement at the VII Commonwealth Youth Games Trinbago 2023.
The Malaysian Contingent, led by the Chef de Mission, Mrs. Ang Li Peng, successfully brought home a total of 5 medals consisting of 1 gold, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes, by the following athletes:

Cycling-Track Women’s Sprint event

Cycling-Road Men’s Road Race event

Cycling-Track Men’s Keirin event
With the above achievement, the Malaysian Contingent was ranked 14 out of 71 Commonwealth Nations and Territories competing in the Games.
“Congratulations to the Malaysian Contingent as they went there without a medal target but completed the mission with a creditable showing.”
“As a word of advice to the young athletes, regardless of their performance, I hope the experiences they gained in Trinidad and Tobago will be useful as they endeavour to aim for the sky.”
“Their journey does not stop here. I hope that one day we can see them joining the Malaysian Contingent to bigger Multi-Sport Games such as the SEA Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games as well as the Olympic Games,” said Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, President of the CGA Malaysia.
