The Opening Ceremony of the VII Commonwealth Youth Games Trinbago 2023 was held on Friday, 4th August 2023 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
During the parade of the Opening Ceremony, the Malaysian Contingent of 24 members was led by the Chef de Mission, Mrs. Ang Li Peng, gold medallist in Badminton at the XVII Commonwealth Games Manchester 2002.
Mr. Muhammad Hafiq Mohd Jafri (Cycle-Road) and Ms. Tan Rou Xin (Aquatics-Swimming), were given the honour to be the joint Flag Bearers of the Malaysian Contingent.
For this 7th edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games, the Malaysian Contingent will be competing in 4 sports namely Athletics, Aquatics-Swimming, Cycle-Road, and Cycle-Track.
