Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the XXXIII Olympic Games Paris 2024, continued his visits to athletes on Friday, 5 July 2024 by meeting Nur Dhabitah Sabri OLY at the National Aquatics Centre in Bukit Jalil.
Dhabitah will participate in the Women’s 3m Springboard, marking her third appearance in the Olympic Games. This opportunity arose after World Aquatics informed the NOC Malaysia of an additional quota on June 28, 2024. Dhabitah is set to accompany Bertrand Rhodict Lises who qualified on merit last year.
“Dhabitah told me that after not qualifying on a merit ticket, she kept following her training program. After receiving the good news about her participation in Paris, she started to increased her training intensity and focused even more on the Games.”
“There is no pressure on her and I believe that with her experience, she will do her best. I am looking forward to seeing her and Rhodict in action in Paris,” said Datuk Hamidin.
Dhabitah is scheduled to join Bertrand Rhodict in a training camp in the UK next week before heading to Paris as she copes with the new springboard for the 3m dive.
